Chess-transit World
The transition of pieces is impossible in the following cases: - if a finishing square is occupied; - if the king would be left in check on a finishing square after the transition; - if a piece would attack the king on a finishing square after the transition-move. TRANSITION OBLIGATORY After the king is checkmated (or the game is drawn), the transition-move must be made. If a finishing square is under attack then the king can’t make a transition-move and is considered to be checkmated. If a finishing square is occupied and the king can not make a transition-move, the game is said to end in a ‘dead position’ 1 . If the king of the player who has checkmated is on the board during the checkmate, then he is obliged to make a transition-move right after the king of his opponent is checkmated.
