There are not classes – rich and poor, and division goes on the other line – clever or stupid, kind or malicious, the idler or hardworking. And it is logic that hard- working clever man will live better and more richly than fools and idlers. To- gether with friends Natalia Andrejchenko and Jury Kuklachev we decided to celebrate Day of Kindness on the1st May. We gathered our friends – actors in Gogol parkway without asking anybody for permissions to carry out this holi- day. We did not do any political actions which demand permission. We have just gone out in the street to celebrate, thus, as we understand – Mary Pop- pins distributed sweets to all passers-by, girls-students handed over everyone balloons and flowers. Everybody approached and admired Jury Kuklachev’s cats and photographed with them. Huge dolls of Puppets Theatre walked up and down on park, welcoming cheerful children. And, naturally, ubiquitous journalists-TV men have come for our holiday. Our cheerful faces have flashed in TV news. They interviewed us because we were unique who went to the park to celebrate Day of spring – Day of Kindness. The idea is very simple, it is possible to earn not only when you are bad, you robe others and walk on corpses, Kindness also allows to earn and to become rich. Thanks to mass-media our idea has been picked quickly up and all over in Russia the funds and societies connected with a word, with concept Kindness started to appear. Some years later I was invited to session of one of such funds and I was even handed the public Kindness Award. Certainly, Kindness began to be used by different and sometimes dubious people. But in my opinion it is not a problem. They want that or do not want, but already the word puts people in frameworks and forces them even against their will to be good. There appeared monuments in Russia: Angels of Kindness.. Monuments stand as signs-symbols and make people think that it is really necessary that the soul opens to Kindness Angel and he will help us to become better. Naturally, as the president of the International Academy of Kindness and the sculptor by my trade I started tj think how the plastic image of kindness should look like. Somehow e the well-known satirist, writer Michael Zadornov came to me and asked me to make a monument «Dandelion» for Jürmala. And instantly I understood that the symbol was found. It is the Dandelion made opened palms on which widely opened eyes are drawn. They make a dandeli- on head – a sphere, the strongest in the world geometrical form. There, where kindness is, there is force which can no t be overcome by any evil. There, where kindness is – there are no borders. The first monument the Symbol of Kind- ness «Dandelion» has been established in Estonia, in Tallinn. It was the period of an international conflict between Russia and Estonia connected with trans- fer of the Bronze soldier. We said to Estonians: be kind for yourself. And we – Russian, will be kind too. Our relations will be good-neighbourhood. The idea was accepted. The ambassador of Estonia in Russia Marina Kaljurand has giv- en very serious support to the project – she helped to transport a monument the Symbol of Kindness from Moscow to Tallinn. On October, 20th 2007 in port of a city of Tallinn the inauguration of the Sym- bol of Kindness took place. Big delegation of Russian culture persons arrived: Valentina Ponomareva, Alexander Gradsky, Jury Rozum, Alexander Zhurbin. The grandiose concert took place in a concert hall «Estonia». I said in my speech: «it is good that the USSR has broken up to the separate states and we even have visas now. We were united by evil. As a certain artificial, violent idea which has not passed test by time the USSR has broken up, and so did the evil in order to be overcome easier and it should be easier to find a new moral way out of the deadlock of social development. It is silly to think that we can live without each other. Without each other culture, without mutual aide. In future we will unite absolutely on others moral economic bases as it happens in Europe». Kindness symbols are established: in Ratsch, Austria, in a place where the border between Austria and Slovenia passed. Separation with borders is a big harm. I would call it a malicious historical necessity which disturbs free peo- ple advancement, economy and friendship. There, where kindness is – there are no borders. Monument inauguration took place on June, 1st 2008 – it is symbolical, it is a Day of children protection. Maximilian Shell arrived on inauguration ceremony. His wife the great Russian actress said that he never gets up so early. As an actor, he never gets up before 12 hours. Besides, he is very old and seriously ill person. And his son added: «Maximilian Shell is important person. He can arrive on inauguration ceremony only under con- dition of high fee payment». But contrary to all ideas about him Maximilian Shell got up very early, put on a suit and in house slippers passed a hundred kilometers to be on time. In his 77 years! He is aristocrat, the intellectual and simply wise person, he understands that nothing can save the world but the idea of kindness. Символ доброты «Одуванчик». Guangzhou, China. 2009 торая перевесит негатив в отношениях, существующих между русским и украинским народами сегодня. 5 февраля 2009 года Символ доброты был открыт во французском го- роде Val de Isere, на одной из самых высоких точек Европы, где про- ходил Чемпионат мира по горным лыжам. Когда обсуждалось решение об установке памятника, в мэрии кто-то заметил: «Надо же, из фран- цузского языка практически исчезло слово «доброта». Мэр Марк Баер сказал: «У меня на очереди двадцать благотворительных проектов, но я поддерживаю ваш, так как, в основном, сегодня все построено на по- нятии «мне», и мы практически забыли понятие «тебе». А местный врач добавил, исходя из своей практики, что люди, катаясь на лыжах, – а Val de Isere второй по популярности горнолыжный курорт после Курша- веля, – часто сбивают друг друга и получают травмы… Без бережного, доброго отношения к ближнему этот вид спорта становится небезопас- ным. Перед открытием Символа доброты в местной школе был про- веден Урок доброты. Учительница задала детям вопрос: «Что означает слово «доброта»?» Ни один из ста детей не дал ответа… О чем это гово- рит? Да, западное общество законопослушно. Но не дай Бог, будет при- нят закон, что, допустим, во всем виноваты рыжие, – их сразу начнут преследовать.
