REGULARUTIES OF POP ART Covering such a large-scale issue that is representation of material and social regularities, Mr. Gaev-Orlov demonstrates his discoveries with great artistic impression and power of persuasion. Each guest surrounded by the pictures representing Systematism feels as if he/she was in the Workshop of the Universe. Massive, energetic compositions filled with the simplest geometric figures vibrating in the space effectively impact associative thinking of even the most sophisticated audience. We see regular polyhedron faces, atoms of four elements Plato believed the material being consists of. We witness the creation of the Demiurge, the celestial craftsman of the sensible world. Mr. Gaev-Orlov models the process of world creation building a common strictly regular system. For example, compositions and organisation of pictures within the exhibition are strictly triadic. The artist visualises the triunity of the Universe, which is the key concept of the Systematism, and substantiate the form he found as follows: “The main idea of the Systematism is that the world consists of three levels that intertangle and become the one: macrocosm, microcosm and the golden mean.” [7] The Plato’s theory of the universe is related to the systematism expositions only in the figurative and associative sense. On the other hand, the Triunity concept, as it was worded and illustrated by the artists, is supported by Triadology monograph written by Professor Borzova, PhD. The monograph is “a comprehensive study of triads, i.e. trinitarian structures of being and cognition” that discovers “the essence of trinitarian experience in terms of the logic of the Whole.” [8] “Triadology, being a theory of triune self-developing global activity basis, is aimed at showing the exact reflection of the triunity in religion, philosophy and other areas.” [9] Compare the quote to the Systematism theory: “It is important to understand that everything is based on the triunity of one being just its manifestations, its variants.” [10] Mr. Gaev-Orlov read Professor Borzova’s book not so long ago and were shocked at how exactly his own conclusions concur with the bright concept of the Triology author, when he discussed his works with her. This concurrence exemplify how intuition and scientific thinking can come to the same conclusions. This two forms of cognition are supposed to synthesize, as a next step, and this step has been already made by the systematism artists. Let us again refer to the Triadology: “We would like to underline that triads are not easy to understand, as they are not schemes, but a ‘living’ triunity, prerequisite creating all the new, that our mind turns into a bunch of symbols.” [11] Then, Borzova describes the types of triads identified by R.G. Barantsev, scientist involved in studying a trinitarian unity archetypes: “linear triads, i.e. three aligned elements from one semantic area (such as left-center-right), dialectical triads, i.e. based on the well-known formula ‘thesis-antithesis-synthesis’..., and systemic (integral) triads, which are comprised of three equal elements from one level, where each element may be presented as a combination of the other two.” [12]. The works by Gaev-Orlov and Vereshchagin have all types of triads. The Functional Table of Systematism, which consists of six sections, namely: Nature, Plans, Flags, Avant- Garde, Abstractionism, and Minimalism, is an example of linear triads. Taken as a whole, it represents a composition comprising two triads, while each section taken separately contains 8 linear triad. Other triads of this type may be found in the following pictures: The Circle Triangle Square (2012), The Black Square (2013), etc. Composition named The Unity of BGW (black-golden-white – author’s note) dated 2003 and its later variations may be considered dialectical triads. It also may be derived from explications by the artists: “Dualism is aggressive and inadequate, as everything has the middle ground where extremes meet.” [13]. Last but not least, systemic triads that are interpreted as the result of synthesis, where “the third element is essential to reconcile contradictions, to find a compromise,” [14] are represented by The Color Systematism (2014), The Body Movements (2013), central vertical and both diagonal triads in The Systematism Matrix (2008).What is the meaning of the trinitarity from the philosophers’ and systematists’ viewpoint? Barantsev considers triad “a universal trinitarian archetype of the humanity”. For him, systemic triad is the element the whole noosphere of the Earth is constructed of, “the minimal structure able to retain its integrity”. It serves as “the evolutionary way to the future,” [15] Borzova thinks that the growing amounts of trinitarian thinking are due to the need to reconcile differences during the globalisation and “the search of universal unity archetypes that would become the basis of understanding each
