Выход – в оче- ловечивании зверя… pay for it. It will be a different price, the actual price. In other words, being grate- ful is to receive a gift that cannot be paid for. A person should live in the state of never ending gratitude. This will allow them to achieve anything they want. Gratitude is the air of paradise, the kiss of God on your head. Gratitude is the energy that allows to hold on to things one receives and mul- tiply them. Lesson 7. Mutual Understanding It is the degree of person’s kindness defines how good a life this person has. This is strikingly simple – even most complex problems can be solved using the principle of kindness. Kindness is the solution to all problems. That state- ment made me realise that where there is kindness there are no boundaries. I summed everything up in my law of kindness and gratitude. Ignoring this law leads to personal and international problems. I wanted to share this discovery with the world. My friends actress Natalia Andreichenko, the director of the theatre of cats Yuri Kuklachyov, explorer Fyodor Konyukhov and I created the International Academy of Kindness. Then I thought about the symbol of kindness. Once a satirist Mikhail Zadornov visited my workshop. He suggested sculpting a Dandelion for Jurmala, Latvia. That moment the image of the future Dandelion was born. It was a sphere made of open eyes looking like open palms with the lashes looking like fingers. When we meet friends, we open arms to give them a hug. This is a symbol of kindness clear to all people in the world. The flower of dandelion is a sphere like the shape of the Earth. While we are kind, the Earth will exist. The leaves of the Dandelion have the shape of lips with one palm on it. That was how Dandelion the Symbol of Kindness was created. The International Academy of Kindness is conducting a vast charitable activ- ity in the world based on the ideas of kindness and true spiritual integrity. The keynote of this activity is «From Russia with Kindness». The moto of the Academy is «Where there is kindness, there are no boundar- ies». Members of the Academy believe that all complex international problems should be solved using the principle of kindness. I dream that there will be time when all the countries will sign the Treaty of Kindness. The Academy has installed Dandelion the Symbol of Kindness in 30 countries of the world. They are France, Germany, Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine, Nagorny Karabakh, China, Switzerland, Russia, Greece, Hungary, Pakistan, Ecuador, Mexica, Columbia and others. Every receiving country organized a beautiful unveiling ceremony to mark the event. TheMayor of Val-d’Isere, France took our idea of kindness to heart. He said «You see, in our society there is a word «me» and there is no word «you». People who come to our resort ski as if they are alone. They are not considerate». We were unveiling the Dandelion in Val-d’Iser in 2009 during the world ski championship. In connection with the inauguration of the Symbol of Kindness, a lesson dedi- cated to the idea of kindness was taught in one of the local schools. Only one boy out of a hundred said that «kindness is when you do not fight». It is very sad be- cause people do not have any future without vitamin K (kindness) in their hearts. Another Symbol of Kindness was installed in Grossgmain, a town at the bor- der between Germany and Austria. A Catholic priest was helping us to arrange the installation. It took him a while to find the correct translation of the Rus- sian word kindness into German. In the end he translated it as «the flower of freedom». It is very accurate as only free people can be kind. The government of the Chinese city of Guangzhou allocated a very beautiful spot for our Dandelion in the Yuntai Garden. Chinese officials could not un- derstand how a person could be kind at their cost so others could benefit from it. This ideas seemed very illogical though it did not contradict the ideas of communism which is the national ideology of China. The unveiling ceremony was attended by many elderly people who could remember fondly how many good things the USSR and Russian people did for their country. It is remarkable that the word kindness does not have the same great meaning it has in Russian in any other language of the world. In Russian, besides the moral category, the word kindness has the meaning «wealth». The very code of this word contains the future prosperity. That was how my Dandelion started walking the globe. In Mexico, I installed the Dandelion in Puerto Morelos. In some time, I met the mayor of Playa del Carmen, a town nearby, and asked me to install a Dandelion there too. I wanted to know why since a Symbol of Kindness had already been installed just twenty kilometres away. He responded that he had a political party «Soli- darity» and the principles of kindness represented exactly what he wanted to achieve. He wanted to unite people around those ideas. I wondered if he truly understood me that well. He just asked us to come to the unveiling and see.
